This is one sexy office! It's the home of communication agency Ubiquitous, based in Manchester. I think the interior looks like a mixture of a gentleman's club / posh hotel / European architecture studio. I'd be more than happy to work in a place like that.

Clerkenwell Design Week

I'm quite excited about visiting Clerkenwell Design Week next week. I've not been before and when I've seen it advertised in previous years I've always wanted to visit. The 3 day event sees the creative spaces & businesses in the Clerkenwell area open their doors to their fellow creative's. I think it'll be great to have a wonder through the various studios & practises, meet some interesting people and listen to some of hot topics in the talks. I'll share some of my favourites next week.

Cool Small Home Offices

Smooth & sleek office for the architect inside you. A very calming space
Proof that a home office can work in the smallest of place, this hallway office is really sweet & quirky.
A piece of statement furniture can multi task into a room divider or office cubicle & you can close it away at the end of the day.
When I'm stuck in traffic on my way to work I often dream about working from home in a pretty little office that inspires me. I've spotted a great article called "33 cool small home office ideas" which has some fantastic exmaples of using the smallest of spaces & some fantastic pieces of furniture. I've posted a few pics of my favourites above.

Jonathan Leijonhufvud

The beauty of Architecture by photographer Jonathan Leijonhufvud. Jonathan's website showcases a series of buildings from across Asia.  The images capture the detail and design to show that they are more than a building / office, they are constructed from patterns, with a calming symmetry or repeat, cool colours against the bright skies or dark days. I love architectural photography and this is a brilliant example. He uses a technique called "two eyes", by using a large format film cameras and a medium format digital capture. The images were originally seen on Trendland Daily
