Birds

I had a house full at Christmas so I decided to make some name cards to break the ice between the in-laws. I got some inspiration from the Paper + Craft book and injected some patterned paper from Muji. I had some ribbon & small pegs in my box of tricks which turned the birds into decorations. The finishing touch (which is my favorite) is a pair of eyes & some rosy cheeks.

I like the style of illustrator Scouts Honour. Their website showcases a variety of work from paper engineering, surface pattern, illustration to advertising. The colour palette is really vibrant and bright too, something to perk you up when its raining.

I really this range of mix n match wallpaper by Kirath Ghundoo. The colours & patterns she's created are beautiful as stand alone pieces or work really well side by side, creating a bold statement in any interior space. I love the different themes & inspirations in each pattern, from Aztec to geometric to stacking.

Finest Imaginary

Badger Necklace £11
Lists Shield Printed Moleskin £4
Pattern Printed Moleskins pack £10
I spotted Finest Imaginary at the ReetSweet craft fair in Leeds a couple of weeks ago. I thought their products looked really cute, with nice graphics & colours and with very realistic pricing. I'd be more than happy to pay £10 for their quirky necklace or £4 for a notebook. Check out their website to see their full range, they also do cards and homewares & have some jubilee themed products.

ZuppaAtelier

 Village Wall Plate
 Espresso Coffee Little Cups

Bird's house plate

Etsy is a great place for inspiration, ideas and beautiful products & gifts. On today's searching mission I came across these lovely pieces by ZuppaAtelier. The Designer hand paints the quirky icons before firing the porcelain. I think the illustrations are really cute and playful, not sure if I'd eat my dinner off them but I'd certainly display them.

Studio Seed

Wedding Invitations

Studio Seed was set up by the very talented Tamsin Seed over 12 months ago in Lemington Spa. I used to work with Tamsin and its been great to see her brand and business grow from strength to strength. SS's can turn a very detailed hand to surface pattern, illustration & graphic design, which is applied across greetings products, wedding stationary & packaging to name a few areas. The example above is a customized wedding invitation taken from her beautiful blog, I love this design as its fresh, playful and bright, I really like the mixture of vintage styled fonts to soften the formalities, and also its not your usual wedding colour palette. Studio is well worth a gander and I hope she inspires you too.

You Wash, I'll Dry

These images might look like beautiful prints but they are actually Tea Towels from To Dry For. The website has loads of great examples of illustration, typography and surface pattern. I love the vibrant colour schemes of the 3 choices above. It just goes to show that good design can slip into any house hold (although I wouldn't want to spoil them).
